Mommy Will Sit on The PTA Boardd

Tonight was my first PTA meeting. I decided to sit on the board for a couple of reasons. First, my good friend JAmi Clifford is VP of Ways and Mean, which basically she is in charge of the Boosterthon and Family Fun Night. These are the two biggest fundraisers for the school. She has taken on a lot, but both of us have agreed to help each other. I have taken on the Spirit side of things. I will design one of the shirts for all of the teachers and or students and I am in charge of the spirit store as well. It will be a fun year next year and I can't wait for the school year to start.

Brooklyn's Day of Kindergarten Celebration

Today Brooklyn celebrated the ending of kindergarten. Her last day of school is actually Friday but today all the students got an award and then at the end they had a slide showof all the kids during the year. It was pretty cool to watch. I just can't believe that my oldest child is going into first grade. I feel it was just yesterday they started school and here we are at the end of the school year. Brooklyn's award was best author. I was surprised by that one but if you know Brooklyn she loves to tell a story. I have attached some pictures from this morning.

The Past 9 Years

Yesterday Scott and I celebrated our 9 year wedding anniversary. I can't believe it has been 9 years. So much has happened in 9 short years and I hope we have many more years to celebrate. It's funny how we look forward to our wedding day but when we celebrate our anniversary the day comes and goes like any other day. Every May 18th, I think back on what I was doing before I walked down the aisle. I'm not going to lie and say it's been an easy 9 years. In reality, Scott and I have been together 16 years. That doesn't seem possible in today's times. We have had our ups and we have had our downs but the best thing that I can say we have 3 beautiful children that make up the Booth family and I am proud of that. I can't imagine my life without them. If anyone says that marriage is easy they are wrong. We have to work at our marriage everyday whether we know it or not. We may have many very bad days but we will have twice as many good days to make up for the bad days. Regardless, I wouldn't change any of it. That is who we are and I am not going to mess with that.
