Christmas 2011

Well again, I am shock that the holidays are come and gone. I think Christmas was a success this year. The kids got everything they wanted, the weather cooperated and everyone had a great time. This year we did dinner with grandma and grandpa on the 23rd which worked out great because then we had Christmas Eve all to ourselves. We even took the kids to church and they loved it. The service was 30 minutes and perfect for them. We even had dickey's for dinner, baked cookies and then well the kids were in bed. Mommy and daddy were in bed by 1230 and the kids were up by 6 am, well only two of them. We told Logan and Brooklyn to go back upstairs till Madison woke and then they were suppose to come to our room so we could walk out together. I wish everyone could see their eyes when they saw the family room full of presents from Santa. Santa rewarded them very well this year for being good kids. Well they were good for most of the year. Logan got his drums, Madison got her bike and Brooklyn got her barbie dream house and much more. Enjoy the pictures!!!

Halloween 2011

Another Halloween has come and gone. We could not have asked for better weather last night. Brooklyn was a pretty witch, 0 You thought it was Christmas though because the kids came running downstairs at 6 am in the morning ready to get the day started. I remember when I was their age and was totally excited to go to trick or treating. Back in the day, I remember dressing up and going to school and having Halloween parties but these days they don't even allow the kids to wear their costumes nor have a party. Times are certainly different now. Also, I couldn't believe how many kids their were trick or treating. We almost ran out of candy for the first time. Daddy stayed home and answered the door while Renee and I took the kids around the neighborhood. This is the first year that Madison really knew what was going on and what to do. She had a blast ringing the doorbell. The kids got so much candy that we have enough till Easter. Santa doesn't even have to give candy in their stockings this year but we all know what won't happen. This year was a success!!!!

The Great Pumpkin Patch

On Saturday, we took the kids to the pumpkin patch at a Methodist Church for them to pick out their pumpkins to carve. It was a beautiful morning and the kids had a blast. We let each kid pick out their own pumpkin. Of course, Brooklyn wanted the biggest pumpkin but that wasn't happening so she had to settle with a little smaller one, Logan picks out a cute small pumpkin and well Madison she goes different and picks one out with warts. I have never had one with warts before but that is Madison for you, she is different and wants to be different. We took some great pictures and then the kids got to play in the jump houses. It was a great morning and a great start to the weekend.

Pumpkin Carving

The kids couldn't wait to carve their pumpkins. Each of them chose their pumpkin at the pumpkin patch yesterday. Of course, Madison was different and chose one with warts. When we started to carve everyone's pumpkin's I realized that we couldn't really carve out Madison's so I am keeping that for decoration and I had two small pumpkins that we carved, Logan wanted to a scary pumpkin, so daddy did his and I worked on the girls. Brooklyn ended up with a cat and Madison was simple and a happy pumpkin. This is the first year that the kids really got into carving them. I just hate the mess that they make but it was still fun.

Safety Town Safe Treat 2011

Well this year was no different at Safety Town. The kids had a blast and the weather was perfect!!! As always, we went with Michele and her gang. The kids were so cute looking and we saw many cute costumes. The one thing that scares Madison is adults wearing costumes. She is terrified of them and wanted to go once she saw them. Michele took Logan and Brooklyn and mommy and Madison stayed in the Pulte house with Brandt and his dad and helped with the candy. I told the kids they got so much candy that they didn't need to Trick or Treating but they didn't like comment so I guess we will go trick or treating on Monday. Enjoy the pictures.
