Logan Turns the Big 3

Today Logan officially turns 3. It really doesn't seem possible. I delivered Logan around 9 am in the morning and I remember that Dr. Trylovich came in and broke my water around 730 am and we thought I wouldn't deliver till around 1pm. Therefore, Scott thought he could make a couple phone calls to the office and sure enough Renee had to go find him because Logan wanted to come on his own time. I do remember I only had to push twice and he came right out. Dr. Trylovich had to cut the cord because at one point we thought the cord was wrapped around his neck but instead it was wrapped around his ankle. It was an easy delivery. When he was born he weighed in at 6 pounds 5 ounces and 19.2 inches. Now today he weighs in at 32.2 pounds and 38.2 inches tall. Logan was also proud of himself because by age 3 they would like the kids to pee in a cup and Logan peed in the cup. He was so proud of himself. He didn't have to get any shots just a finger stick to check iron. Overall the visit was great. He is developing on target. I have included some of his newborn pictures and some of his other current pictures to show how much he has grown up. He's not our little Logan anymore. Oh one more thing, Logan had a blast last night helping daddy hang up some pictures. He actually got to use his hammer to hammer in some nails on the wall. He thought that was pretty cool.

Happy Birthday Logan #3

Technically Logan turns 3 on Monday but we celebrated his birthday on Saturday at Strikz bowling. Logan was so happy to have a birthday party. We tried something new this year and took the whole family bowling along with Campbell's family. Everyone had a blast and especially Logan had so much fun. He really enjoyed bowling with his friends. It was nice to kick back and have some fun. Even Madison got to bowl a little. After bowling, we went back to our house so he can open his presents. Its nice when they are older because they know what to do with their presents. Logan's favorite present was a weed trimmer and a construction hat. We couldn't get the boxes opened fast enough so he can try them out and play outside. All day yesterday Logan just wanted to play outside with his new toys. He got a lot of nice toys and clothes yesterday and thanks to all who gave him a gift for his birthday. I hope everyone had fun because I know the Booth family had a blast. Enjoy the pictures!

Getting Ready for Logan's Party

I can't believe that Logan will be turning 3 on Monday. It doesn't seem possible. It seems like yesterday I remember being pregnant with him. A lot has happened in his 3 years of life, some I would like to forget but somethings that are very memorable. Logan is enjoying getting mail now. He has loved getting cards for his birthday and everyday now he goes to the mailbox to see if he got any mail. On days that he hasn't, he kind of gets upset but he gets over it pretty quickly. Tomorrow we are having family and some friends come bowling with us. That should be fun and I will post the pictures of that as well. Not much else to report right now. Have a great weekend.

A long exhausting day

Wednesdays are always busy for the kids even Lilly. Every Wednesday, Brooklyn has her dance right after school and from dance we take the kids to the mall, eat lunch, shop around and at the end let them play in the play area. Logan, Brooklyn, Madison and Campbell have so much fun together its hard to pull them apart to go home. Thank gosh today was a very uneventful day unlike last Wednesday when we ended up the ER with Madison. Any way, I captured these two moments of Logan and Lilly sleeping away this afternoon that I thought everyone would enjoy. Have a good one.

An Update on Madison

It was a long night for mommy and Madison. She just didn't sleep well and she would either wake up all sweaty or burning up. I had an early doctor's appointment this morning for my tooth and when I got home she was running another high temp of 103. We gave her some medicine and by the time we saw the pediatrician she had broken her fever and it was down to 98.2 which was good. By the time I think we had the temps under control she would start to run another temp. It was up and down with her and she just couldn't get comfortable long enough to get a good sleep. The longest she slept today was an 1 1/2 and after that she was fighting her sleep all day long. I just felt bad for her. Her visit with the pedi was okay. Her ears had looked 50% better than yesterday so she didn't have to get another shot, which was good. Everything else was okay. We do know that she now weighs 25 pounds so in 1 month she has gained 3 pounds which is a lot for her. Other than that, it was a quiet day for us. Brooklyn had school and her phonics class today so she was busy with that. She is upset with me because she didn't get to play with Campbell this week. I was going to have her over today but forgot that Brooklyn had her phonics class so we have scheduled something for Monday. Its pretty funny when they get out of their routine because mommy will hear about it. Although, Michelle, Campbell's mom, did tell me that the kids were well behaved with her yesterday while all the drama was happening and that made me feel real good. Also, Sheena's dance academy called me today to check up on Madison and to see how we were doing from yesterday. I was extremely surprised on how concerned everyone was yesterday and wanting to know the status on Madison. It's nice to know that people really do care.

A monumental day for Brooklyn and a scarey day for Madison

It's never a dull moment in the Booth family. Today started out as normal for us. I dropped off Brooklyn at school and mommy and the kids ran errands till dance class. Before dance class, we registered Brooklyn for kindergarden today. It was kind of a sad day for me because my first born is growing up and is going to a big school in the fall. I just remember finding out I was pregnant with her let alone giving birth to her as well and now she is turning 5 and getting ready for kindergarden. It's amazing how time flies. On May 13th, we have an orientation for the parents and for her to see the school and get a feeling on how things will be for her in the fall. Once we were done with all of that, I stopped at home to change diapers and fill up sippy cups and off we were to get Brooklyn to go to dance class.

Dance class started off as normal. I got Brooklyn dressed and off she went. Madison and Logan were busy playing and I was busy chasing Madison. Toward the end of dance class, Madison was getting a little tired so I put her in her stroller. Needless to say that was the turning point of the day. I noticed Madison foaming out of the mouth and told Michelle something isn't right with Madison. I took her out of the stroller and she was unresponsive. I had someone call 911 because at that point I new she was having a seizure. Her brother Logan had a febral seizure 4 months ago so I was familiar with all of the symptoms. Thank gosh I was somewhere where I had friends and others around. The paramedics got to the dance studio and Madison was real lethargic and sure enough runing a 104 temp. Mommy got to ride in the ambulance for the second time this year. This is something you don't want to make a habbit of. My best friend Michelle took Brooklyn and Logan while I went to the hospital with Madison. Madison was a tough cookie today and poor thing didn't know what was going on. She ended up having a double ear infection and a moderate case of her brochials being inflamed which means in English, bronchitis. The funny thing is she hasn't been pulling on her ears nor does she have a cough but at least we know why she was running a fever. No parent should have to experience this nor should one have to experience twice in one year. All I have to say is thank goodness for great friends and 911.

By the end of the day we were all exhausted and hopefully tomorrow will be a better day. We follow up with the pediatrician so I will keep everyone updated on Madison's illness.

A Busy Weekend

We had a busy weekend. We started the weekend with running our normal errands. I had to put up a birthday sign for our good friend Blake, who turned 1 last week. I was suppose to pick up two more storks but I knew that we had a lot of running around to do before our birthday party Saturday night so I decided to pick them up Sunday morning instead. I still wasn't feeling up to par after having my tooth pulled on Thursday. I don't reccomend that at all. I actually tried to eat some regular food but that was challenging. We had decided to go to Taco Cabana for lunch and the kids did good for a change. I managed to eat a little but I paid for it on Sunday. On Saturday night, we went over to Campbell's house for Blake's one year birthday. The kids had a blast and so did the parents. It was a nice evening and the kids didn't want to leave even though we were the last ones to leave.

On Sunday, we had another birthday party to go to at Pump it Up. This one was one of Brooklyn's classmates, Connor. I decided to bring Logan with us and he even enjoyed himself. He made some new friends and had a blast going down the slides and trying to basketball. By the end of the day I was tired. My mouth was killing me and I went to bed early. Well I tried too but the kids wouldn't let me so once daddy put them to bed I was able to go to bed.

I woke up early this morning and come to find out that I started to get a "dry socket" where they pulled the tooth. The surgeon put some special packing in so hopefully it will help it and it won't get any worse. I can't go through any procedure without any problems. I hope all had a great weekend and we will talk to you soon. Also, I have posted some of the pictures from Easter.

Easter 2010

It was a fun day for all kid kids. They really had time to play and gooof off and they don't get to do this very often. I wish everyone lived closer together but it doesn't work out that way and we are use to that. Morning of Easter, the kids had their egg hunt and they had a blast picking up all the gooddies the "Easter Bunny "left them. They were going through all the eggs to see what kind of candy and little gadgets they got from the bunny. This was the first year that Madison was able to enjoy the festivities and was able to put the eggs in her basket. For lunch we went over to Andrea and Lowell's and then that evening we went to my parents for another egg hunt and crab legs for dinner. We had a busy day. Pictures will bee coming soon

I can't believe its April

I can't believe that it is April already. We have had a busy March and with Easter approaching, the kids are excited about the Easter Bunny. Last Friday, we took the kids to the Frisco egg hunt at Pizza Hut park. They had a blast and this is the first year that we can see Madison picking up the eggs. Its like it came natural to her because she new what to do from the start. They had a blast. That following Sunday, our neighborhood held our annual egg hunt and boy did the kids get lots of goodies. Again, everyone had a fun time and I have posted some of the pictures from the egg hunt.
As for Logan, he will be 3 this month and I just can't believe how time has flown by. I just remember giving birth to him and now he is really growing up. Last weekend we took him to Babies R US to pick out as many sippy cups as possible and the catch was he had to throw away his bottles. He still took a bottle at night to go to bed but now we have him on a sippy cup. Finally! His bottle was like his security blanket and the transition was smoother than I anticipated. Every once in awhile he will ask for the bottle but that is even getting better. Now we are focusing on his potty training.
Other than that nothing else to really report. I hope all is doing well.
