Brooklyn Tries Gymnastics
Today Brooklyn tried out gymnastics. Her best friend Campbell and her friend Ava were in the class with her. Unfortunately, Campbell wanted nothing to do with the class and she ended up leaving. She gets in those moods and you can't please her at all. Ava and Brooklyn had a blast. Obviously, Brooklyn has a while to do a real cartwheel but she tried her hardest and it was adorable. They worked on cartwheels, summer salts, trampoline and then they got to play in a big hole with foam squares. Ava and Brooklyn played soccer together and Ava lives in our neighborhood as well so them two together is a sight to see. Both of them were so excited that we signed them up for their class. Both of them will start on January 4th at 330 in the afternoon. I wanted a 4 pm class but they were full so we are on a waiting list for that class. Hopefully, Brooklyn will continue to like gymnastics and her best friend Campbell will be willing to give the class another try.

The Kids Visit Santa
This afternoon the kids visited Santa with the exception of one, Madison. Madison wanted nothing to do with Santa. Logan was the same way last year so hopefully all three of them will sit on his lap next year. Brooklyn and Logan did real well and the picture came out adorable. I have pictures for everyone unfortunately I don't have one to post on the blog. Both of the kids at the same time told Santa they wanted big boy/girl bikes from Santa. I guess we will have to wait and see if the kids were good enough to get bikes.

Brooklyn Gets Recognized at School
At Carroll Elementary they have this system in place for kids who do something good for someone else. Today Brooklyn was recognized for her good deed that she did last Thursday. One of her classmates dropped his backpack at the time they were suppose to go their stations and Brooklyn stayed behind and helped Elijah put his stuff back in his backpack. Daddy and Mommy were very proud of her for doing a kind gesture and recognizing that someone needed a little help. Every Friday they have this thing called Friday morning Live and it's a cool little assembly where they do all kinds of stuff. It was my third time to attend but daddy's first time. Brooklyn's name was called out in front of the whole school. She was really happy to hear her name but more importantly on how proud we were to hear her name.

A Bad Experience
Many of you probably didn't that our washer broke the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. We haven't had our washer 6 months and spring had popped out of the washer and I didn't know how to fix it. I thought I fixed but when I saw water gushing out it was not a good thing. I called Samsung on Friday and the referred us to Callahan's. They are located in McKinney and they were suppose to call me on Monday. Did they call me, no! I had to call them to schedule my appointment. The technician came out on Tuesday afternoon and he couldn't get the spring back, come to find out he knew nothing about these washers. He told me that we would have to get a new spring and that he would have the office call me that afternoon to schedule another visit later in the week. I didn't hear from them for two days. I called them and they gave me the run around. They told me they had to order two parts and that their shipments don't come in till the afternoon. I complained at Samsung and I complained at Callahan's. I wrote a letter for both of them and sent it to the BBB. On Friday, I finally get the call and they told me they could come out on Saturday. I said fine and then an hour later she calls me back and tells me the tech has a family emergency and couldn't come till Monday. I was pissed off at that point. I asked her will it be first thing in the morning and she told me they don't schedule to appointments till Monday because there could have been some emergency calls over the weekend. They didn't consider my problem an emergency even though its been 10 days. Finally today comes and the tech calls me around 9 am. It took the tech 5 minutes to fix the washer. The washer could have been fixed on Tuesday. There were no parts that had to be ordered, etc. I was livid with the situation. The tech was very nice and it wasn't his fault. He did tell me the tech that did come out has been fired, I am not sure if that happened or not but regardless this should not have gotten this far. I am not sure why they kept giving me the run around on coming back out. Regardless don't use Callahan's for your appliances to get fixed! My poor family had to do all my washing up until now. Thank goodness for family because if I didn't have them I wouldn't want to know how many piles I would have. Thank goodness we have enough clothes for the kids.
Brooklyn Has fun At Her friend's Birthday Party
Brooklyn went to Cassie's, one of her friends at school, birthday party last night. The party was done at Sugar and Spice in downtown Mckinney. I never knew this party existed but the girls got to play dress up, they got their hair done and their nails done. They had a dance party, a fashion show and a tea party. I thought it was so cute and they had a blast. It;'s a great place to have a girl party for sure! What I didn't realize is she didn't invite all the girls in her class. She only invited a couple girls and Brooklyn was honored to be one of them. Cassie's parents told me that she talks about Brooklyn all the time. I was very pleased to hear that. Enjoy the pictures I took. I apologize for the pictures color. It was very dark inside the room.

At Brooklyn's school, the parents or anyone can eat lunch with his/her child. Brooklyn has been asking me to eat lunch with her and on Thursdays I am always at the school doing some volunteer work for her teacher, Mrs. Womack. I started the day by eating lunch and she was so excited. They eat lunch early, at 10:30. She gets to pick out two friends to sit at a special table with her. In fact, there were 3 kids who wanted to sit with us. All three of the kids ate their lunch well and they were well behaved as well. I thought it would be cute to take some pictures of them so enjoy the pictures. Her friends names from left to right are: Bella, Kelly, and Makayla
Logan Has An Admirer
On Friday, I received an email from one of Logan's classmates. Her name is Leila and she adores Logan. Supposedly she is always talking about Logan to her mommy so she wanted to know when we could get together and have a playdate. On Friday in carpool lane, her mom was right behind me and Logan gave Leila a big hug and a kiss on her cheek. It was adorable. I guess it's already starting with the girls. I will keep everyone updated on this.

We Had a Great Thanksgiving
Every year we go over to MeMe and PawPaw's for Thanksgiving Lunch. I provide the cinnomen apples, the corn casserole and the homemade pumpkin pie. Grandma, Grandpa and Nei Nei join us and they bring my dad's famous stuffing. I wouldn't have the stuffing any other way. MeMe and PawPaw provide the rest of the meal. Grandpa didn't join us because he works part time at the Cowboy stadium and as everyone knows that the Cowboy's always play on Thanksgiving so Grandpa misses out on the meal. The kids love to go over to MeMe's house. They don't get to go over there as much so when we do go the really enjoy themselves. I have posted some of our pictures from Thanksgiving.
A Present Under the Christmas Tree
This year I decided to put a Christmas tree upstairs for the kids to decorate. We have so many ornaments that we really do need another tree. This past weekend Brooklyn decorated the tree herself but with some help with mommy. When we are going upstairs for bed there was a present awaiting our arriva. It was Lilly. She really likes my Christmas trees and we saw her lying under the tree. We thought it was adorable and wanted to share with everyone.

Back To Our Routine
Mommy was so glad to get everyone back on their routine. Last week for some reason Logan wanted to go to bed at 630ish or he would fall asleep on the couch or on daddy's lap. Tonight Logan didn't want to go to bed at his normal time. Finally I convinced him to go to bed after we changed his sheets on his bed. Brooklyn was also glad to get back to school. We didn't start the day off good because we missed the bus this morning. I ended up driving her to school. Mommy was not very happy. As for Madison, she was just her happy self. I have pictures from Thanksgiving and will post them tomorrow, I promise!

Decorating Cupcakes for Thanksgiving
I apologize for not blogging lately. We have been extremely busy with so much stuff that I haven't had time to write about anything. Logan had his first class social on Monday at our house and we made turkey cupcakes. We had a good turn out but a couple of my things got broken from his friends. One of his friends broke his screwdriver that he loves dearly and sometimes takes to bed with him. His mother said nothing and didn't even offer to replace it for him. If I was him mom that wouldn't have been the first thing I would have said was offer to replace it. Then another kid decided he was going to go and break some of my Christmas ornaments that I have displayed in my front area. I was not a happy camper after everyone left. I think everyone had fun but I couldn't get everyone out of my house soon enough. Unlike Brooklyn's class, Logan's class is just a different ballgame all together. Many of the mothers are fairly new to Dallas and their personalities just don't mix with mine but that is okay. I did take pictures of everyone frosting their cupcakes and will post those pictures later.

Logan and His Trophy
Logan is so proud of his trophy that he wants to carry it with him. Mommy and Daddy are very proud of Logan. We think he had fun playing soccer. I don't know if we would play with the YMCA again. We weren't really impressed with them and the team that he was on were unfriendly. I think that most players all knew each other and that made it a little awkward. Unlike Brooklyn's teammates and parents, these parents were very unapproachable. Logan even missed his soccer party after the game. Both of them played at the same time and I was in charge of Brooklyn's so we went to Brooklyn's party. Regardless, Logan did get a chance to play soccer and we believe he did have fun.
All I Want For Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth
Yes, Brooklyn has now lost her other top front tooth. We all knew that the tooth was loose but when she got off the bus today the tooth was just hanging on. Once we got home, I pulled the tooth with one try and just in time for our Christmas pictures. I am not thrilled that she doesn't have any teeth but I guess these pictures will have more sentimental value than others. She does look adorable and she is so excited for the Tooth Fairy to come back to the house and leave some money. Compared to most kids, she has ahead of others loosing their front teeth. Her good friend Brandt didn't loose his front teeth until first grade and here Brooklyn has lost her two front teeth within weeks of each other.
Brooklyn Has Her Last Soccer Game
This weekend was full of stuff. Saturday the kids played their last game and unfortunately they were played at the same time. Mommy went to Brooklyn's and Daddy took Logan's to his game. I thought that Brooklyn played her best game ever. She didn't score any goals but she had two assist that ended up as scores. She also really fought for the ball. The previous games she wouldn't really fight for the ball but she played her heart out. After the game, we all went to Gattiland for some pizza and to play some games. Both kids recieved their first trophy ever and they were very proud of their trophy.

We have a Monkey on Our Hands
Madison has now figured out how to climb out of her crib. She is the first child to figure this out. Our first two kids never figured it out because they were out of the crib by 18 months the latest. Scott and I have bought new furniture for Madison but we are not getting the furniture until the first of December. I just hope she doesn't make this a habit.

Logan Sleeps With Underware
Mommy didn't know that Logan wore his underwear to bed last night. I guess daddy and Logan decided to try the underwear and when I say goodnight to Logan he is already under his covers. When he woke up this morning he was so happy. I didn't know why until daddy asked Logan if he has told me what he did. His underwear was a little wet but overall he did fantastic. That was a great surprise for me. I hope that Logan will continue this and be weened off diapers permanently.

A Fire at Brooklyn's School?
Brooklyn had a very unusable dismissal today. Right at 3pm their fire alarms went off. Because of this, they had to clear the school and wait for the fire department to come to the school. They had all kids counted for in 5 minutes and by 315 they fire department had cleared the school. Luckily there was no fire but a false alarm. Before we got word, a mom stopped to tell us that there was a fire in the cafeteria. Its funny how news travels fast. Brooklyn didn't come home till 350 and normally she is off the bus by 317. I had asked her what had happened she told me that a little boy pulled the alarm. Who knows what the real reason was but the main thing was all the kids were safe. It was quite an adventure for her.
Brooklyn's Loses Her 3rd Tooth
Yes, Brooklyn lost her 3rd tooth at school on Monday. I would have reported to you then but we were out phone service and internet service for two days. Thank goodness we didn't need 911. Brooklyn has been waiting to lose the tooth for quite sometime. The tooth is one of your front teeth. She actually looks very cute without her tooth. I did take pictures so you all can see. She was so excited because the tooth fairy gave her $4.00. She was satisfied with that amount. Some other tooth fairies give a lot more than that but I tell her that she didn't have any other money on her to give. She bought it and that is what counts.

Trick or Treat
Last night was a fun night for all. The kids were so excited to go trick or treating that they kept asking almost every hour when we are going. Daddy stayed home and handed out candy and mommy and nei nei took the kids around the neighborhood . Brooklyn was a very pretty fairy, Logan was a scary dragon, and Brooklyn was a cute purple unicorn. Madison was still too young to really know what she had to do to ask for her candy but she had the goodbye down. Almost every house we went to everyone loved Logan's costume. Brooklyn was getting upset and she thought that noone liked her costume but I told her that there were lots of fairy's and very few dragons. Lilly was a fat pumpkin and an adorable one as well. Our neighborhood is filled with young kids that many houses just had bowls of candy out in front of their door while they were out with their kids so the kids were getting mad that they couldn't ring the door bell. By the end, Madison was so tired that I had to carry her home. We have more candy than we know what to do with. Eveyone's teeth will fall out now. Overall it was a good Halloween.

Logan Attends His First School Social
Today was a busy day for the booth family. I didn't realize that when I was organizing Logan's school social I had scheduled it on the same day that Brooklyn had her boosterthon fun run. None the less, we made all appearances and by the end of the day the kids were exhausted. We had Logan's social at McDonald's. You can't go wrong with that. Logan and Madison had a blast playing with all of the kids. I think they played more than ate their lunch but that is okay. They eventually ate their lunch at home. This was the first social of the year so it was a great opportunity to meet all of the parents and learn the kids names as well. Usually the first function has the best turn out so hopefully we can maintain a good turnout through out the year. I will have to say it was a success and if you ask Logan he would agree with mommy. Madison was along for the ride but she had just as much fun as everyone else.
Boosterthon Fun Run
Today was Brooklyn's school Boosterthon fun run. All the grades in the school are given a form and they are encouraged to get as many pledges or donations as possible. This is the only fundraiser their school has planned so its a big one. The object of this fun run is each kid is "suppose to run 35 laps." Now these laps are pretty short but I will tell you the kids were running hard and they did get tired toward the end. Each grade was given 1 hour to do their run and all their family members were out there supporting their child. We all had a great time out there and I made posters for many of our parents who showed up and supported the class. The money being raised is going toward a tarp to put over their playground. Their goal was $25,000 and from what they were saying today, they did achieve that goal. I was proud of Brooklyn and thank you all who gave Brooklyn donations. The money is going toward a great cause.

Safety Town
This past Friday was trick or treat at Safety Town. This is the second year that we have done it and if it wasn't for Michele's husband, Will there is no way I would stay in line to get into the facility to go trick or treating. There are tons of sponsors and plenty of candy to go around. All week we were watching the weather. At times during the day it did rain but we thought the rain would hold off until after the event. We are able to get into the facility about 45 minutes before everyone else. After that they open the doors for everyone else. We managed to get through the whole place before it really started to storm. We got in our cars right before the rain just fell out of the sky. Thank goodness it was a success for us. You would think with the weather and the Texas Rangers there wouldn't have been a lot of families there but that wasnt' the case at all. Here are some pictures from Friday night. Brooklyn and Campbell were twins and they were Fairies, Logan was a dinosaur, Madison was a purple unicorn and Blake was a dragon.
