We had a very busy weekend. First, Friday night mommy and daddy had a Christmas party to attend for Scott's client T-Systems at the House of Blues. It was the first time we had been there and we had a great time. We had free drinks and a nice buffett for dinner. Grandma and Nei Nei took care of the kids and they took them to see Christmas lights around the area. Everyone had a good time. Even mommy and daddy had to get really dressed up for the party. It was kind of fun dressing nice since I don't get to do that very often.
Saturday morning, it was daddy son day. Daddy, Logan and PawPaw went down to North Park Center to tour the trains they have every year. Logan had a blast but what made it even more special was it was just the guys which was kind of cool. Brooklyn stayed at MeMe's house and they baked cookies and went shopping for Lilly. Everyone had a great time. I had Madison and we went shopping and then I came home to start cleaning my house. Saturday evening Brooklyn had a birthday party to attend. Her name is Lauren and they go to dance together. Brooklyn was just excited because she hasn't been invited to a lot of birthday parties.
I need to read to Brooklyn so I will update more later. I also have pictures to add as well.

Another day closer till Christmas
This morning, mommy had to go see the hand surgeon. Friday I had an MRI on the wrist to see if there were any cysts or tears. The report came back with a gangolian cyst (don't ask me what that is). She tried to drain the cyst but was unsuccessful soI am going to have the wrist drained but with some local annesthesia so that is scheduled for New Years Eve.
After I dropped Brooklyn off at school, I went with Campbell's mom to go Christmas shopping for the two girls. We both got them jean jackets with a Hello Kitty face on back. Its adorable and I know the girls will like it a lot.
Nothing else to report.

Madison's 15th month check up
This morning we went to see the doc for her 15 month check up. She now weighs in at 20.14 pounds, which is in the 20th % in weight. Her height measured at 31 inches and that puts her in the 55th % and then her head was 44 1/2 cm which means 15%. She is growing nicely. She did have to get three shots so she wasn't a happy campter when we left but overal she did good. Mommy was proud of her.
This past weekend Logan got a haircut and he looks adorable. Daddy took him and he sat in the chair this time all by himself. What a big boy. I have included a picture of his new hair cut. l

Who sat with Santa
Today was a big day for the three little ones because today we were going to see Santa. I was so excited because I thought that Logan would be so thrilled to sit on his lap. Everytime we see him at Stonebriar mall he would be fascinated with him.
Today was a little different story. I had plans to go to North Park because I fell in love with the backdrop there but they don't start taking pictures till 11 am and you can start getting tickets at 9am. It wouldn't have worked with our schedule so we went to Willow Bend. Their set up is the polar express and it was very cute. As usual, I didn't bring our regular camera to take additional pictures. The kids were able to play in fake snow and they had fun with that. Of course is got everywhere so by the time you were going to take pictures you didn't have that much time to get it off of you.
When it was our turn, Brooklyn went right up to Santa and sat on his lap. She was real quick on telling him that she wanted a doll house. Logan on the other hand didn't want anything to do with Santa. We waited a little and then he warmed up and went up to Santa to say hi and touch his suite but when it was time to get the picture he got scared. Therefore, he didn't make the picture. We got Madison on his lap and she just screamed but we got a cute picture anyway. Brooklyn just was at awe and she made sure that santa told us that she wanted the doll house. She has already told daddy and mommy that she was concerned that the sleigh wouldn't be big enough for the doll house but we told her magic and that she shouldn't worry about it.
Santa came early for mommy. I got a new phone today. I got the Iphone by At&T and I am having fun with it. It just so happened that Logan just broke my other phone the other day so I was happy when we decided to upgrade my phone. Daddy and mommy were having fun playing with their new phones.
This evening we went to look at the Christmas lights. Mommy had made out the December calendar so I thought tonight would be a good night to see the lights. We always take the kids to Deer Field to see all the Christmas lights. You would think that going early in the month there wouldn't be a lot of traffic and we were right. The only downside was I don't think everyone had decorated yet but that was fine with us. What was funny though was by the time we got to the neighborhood, Logan and Madison were sound asleep. Madison woke up at half time but then again fell asleep. By the time we left the subdivision, Brooklyn was sound asleep. Mommy was smart and had everyone in their pajamas so it was easy to put everyone to bed.
Overall today was a great day and evening with the whole family.

TGIF
This week has been fast. It seems during the holidays the days go by faster and then you wonder where all your free time has gone. Brooklyn was glad to get back to school. This month they are learning about different countries and this week they learned about France. She has had fun so far learning about different countries. She also told me that the school checked her vision today and she got to wear funny glasses. She thought that was pretty cool.
Madison really had an up and down week. She has been sick with some sort of stomach virus where she couldn't keep anything down and then have really bad poopy diapers. Not fun. I think by the end of this week I washed more of her bedding then I ever have and changed her sheets more than I can count on my fingers. Today she has been okay but we will see. Madison is also just walking everywhere. Once she figured that out, she enjoys walking and using her push toys, etc. She loves playing with her brother and sister but at times they get mad because she is into all their toys and making messes. You can't keep anything clean with her around.
Logan is Logan. Mommy listens to the Christmas music in the house and in the car and when we get in the car and he hears a song that he likes he loves to dance in his carseat and humm the words. Its really cute and he has a big smile on his face. He is talking more and more everyday. He trying to be a big boy by drinking out of cups, but we still have accidents. If I can only get rid of his bottle and get him potty trained then we are good to go.
This weekend we plan on seeing Santa and North Park Center. We are going to a different santa this year because I fell in love with the background of this santa and he well known around the country. We are also allowed to take our own pictures if we don't want to purchase their photographs which I think was pretty cool as well. We will see what happens and hopefully the kids will cooperate. I will be keeping my fingers crossed.

A winter wonderland in Frisco, Texas
Did we wake up to a surprise or what. Brooklyn has been asking for snow for quite some time but I told her that mommy doesn't have any control on the weather. You can never believe what the weather people say so I just thought that we wouldn't get any snow but this time I was wrong. I told Brooklyn this morning to come downstairs because I had a surprise, it was snowing. You should have seen her face. She was so excited to see the white fluffy flakes. Logan woke up and I told him to go to his window and he was at awe. I am not sure if he really knows what this white stuff is but he had fun looking at it. I opened the door for Lilly to go out to potty and she looked outside and immediately backed away from the door. She didn't want anything to do with the snow. I had to kick her out to potty. Enjoy the pictures I posted of our winter wonderland.

A Great Report Card
Well Brooklyn brought home her monthly progress report from school. According to her teachers, she has mastered these categories: can recognize her printed name, holds pencil correctly, and recognizes her colors. She is still progresing on talking clearly and recognizing her shapes (the shape being rhombus). Mommy and daddy are real proud of her. In January, we will have a teacher/parent conference where we will sit with both teachers and discuss her progress from day one to present. I actually can't wait for that because just in the matter of the months she has been in school, I have seen a big transformation in her knowledge. She also saw Dr. Kadesky today and we got a good report from him as well. I hope that we can stay out of his office for the rest of the year and the months ahead.
Madison felt a little better today. She has her stamina back but still has bad diahrhea. (I am not sure if I spelled that correctly or not) She at least is more vocal and has more energy. Mommy and daddy have her on a very bland diet and no milk for right now. So far, no one else has gotten what Madison had.
Logan is still Logan. He really is becoming more vocal and has an attitude as well. Both Brooklyn and Logan are really starting to fight more. I see hitting and even biting between the two. Minus the biting, I try to let Brooklyn and Logan figure out what their fighting about. Its great problem solving for Brooklyn. Logan might be a little small to understand that but its great practice.
Other than that, nothing else to report.

Back to the routine
Today was Brooklyn's first day back to school and boy she was excited. She was ready to go back two weeks ago. It was a long break for her but I think a good one. This time her belly button had plenty of time to heal. She was up bright and early and ready to go at 7 this morning. All her classmates and teachers were happy to see her and she was able to thank everyone for all of her get well wishes. Unfortunately, Madison had a rough night last night and today as well. All of our kids have been vacinated for the flu but I think Madison had some kind of stomach bug. Anytime she would put something in her mouth she would throw it right back up. No bueno. She even threw up in my car as well. Luckily I had towels and a change of clothes with me. I felt so bad for her. I am not sure how many times I changed her outfit and or changed her crib. You know when she is sick when she doesn't want to walk or play with anything. She will sit right in you lap. I tried to keep today easy for her but we had a couple of doctor appointments. Hopefully, tomorrow she will fell better .

Eating and Shopping
Thanksgiving 2009 was great. The food was awesome and the Cowboys won their game so Dallas was beaming. Unfortunately, we had some family members not at our festivities such as grandpa and the Stokes family. Grandpa was working the Dallas Cowboy game so he couldn't join the family and well the Stokes have a real good reason on why they didn't make it to Thanksgiving-a new addition Piper Lauren. Depsite the abesentees, we all had a great time. Mommy forgot her camera but auntie Nei did bring hers so once I can get those pictures I will post them on the blog. Mommy had to leave early to take Madison home for her nap so daddy and the kids stayed at Meme's and PawPaw's house till half time.
I on the other hand got up at 2:45 Friday morning to hit all the good sales on Black Friday. I literally shopped all morning and well into the afternoon. By the evening, I was tired but found myself still awake at 11pm. I did however get most of the shopping done. In the morning, I went with my sister and mom and then met up with the kids later. Daddy had physical therapy so I had the kids for a little bit then daddy took them back minus Brooklyn. Brooklyn and I had fun together shopping.
Today I took Logan with me shopping. Him and I had a blast together. I think he was in 7th heaven because he had a great big smile on his face and was just giggly the whole morning. I don't get very many days where its just me and Logan so it was nice for a change. Him and I finished some last minute things but after today only a few more things to buy and the Booth family is done Christmas shopping. Although I say I am done but I am sure I will find more good bargains so we will have to wait and see. This afternoon and evening, we decorated our outside of our house with our lights. I think it looks great. I will get a picture of the house and put it on our blog tomorrow. I think that updates everyone for now. I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and can't wait to get the Christmas season going.

Mommy has to have Surgery
Yes, mommy has to have sinus surgery again. I have been battling a sinus infection for the last 8 weeks or so. I had a cat scan done and it showed blockages again. Having sinus surgery is not guaranteed that it will correct the problem completely but it will relieve you of symptoms for awhile. My first sinus surgery was 2 years ago. Its an easy surgery and so is the recovery time. My normal ENT, Dr. Moore, did not think I was a candidate for surgery again so he referred me to one of his good friends, Dr. Sam Anthony in Rowlett. Yes, Rowlett but it wasn't that bad of a drive and the surgery will be in Garland. When Dr. Anthony looked at my ct scan he told me that I am definately a candidate for surgery again to fix my blockages. If they don't fix them then my infection will never go away. My surgery is scheduled for December 17th. Our family will really be ready for this year to be over with. Have a good one.

A Very Busy Weakend
This weekend was full of fun. On Saturday during the day we really didn't do much. That evening we went over to Grandma and Grandpa's house for an early Thanksgiving dinner. Yummy, yummy! I take that back, we did decorate our first tree that goes into the family. Of course they were so eager to help out and decorate it but I had to string the lights, put the beads on and the ribbon. Once that was done with, then we had everyone participating. Logan and Brooklyn had a blast. This is the first year where Logan is getting excited about Christmas. On Friday, I put up our trees while he was sleeping so when he woke up he told me "Christmas Tree" and went over there and hugged it.
On Sunday, we had our Christmas pictures done. We just recently switched photography places and go to Portait Innovations. They are vey unexpensive but depending on the number of pictures you then the price can go up as far as 600$. What I like about them is you can pay 9.95 for one of their packets and the number of pictures you get are far more than what we got at Kiddie Kandids. The only problem with the 9.95 package is you only get one pose, but other than that we are pleased with them. Unfortuately, we got to our appointment on time, but we ended up waiting for over 30 minutes. By the time they got us positioned, Madison didn't want anything to do. They were able to get some great pictures despite the wait time. To componsate for their lateness, they didn't make us pay a dime for the picture package. For the rest of the day the kids and I decorated the other three. Logan had so much fun and so did Brooklyn. She kept on bugging me on when we will decorate and now we have. Unfortunately, Logan broke about 10 ornaments. I didn't get that upset because of his age but he didn't know they were really frangil. He will get the hang of it like Brooklyn has. So far they have been up for two days and Madison has really stayed away from the tree and ornaments and I am actually shocked. I better not open my mouth to wide or she will damage the tree. Once three was decorated she wanted to know when we could start wrapping presents.
Overall we had a pretty good busy weekend. . Now its time for me to finish cleaning the house by putting away all of the Christmas boxes and get them out of the living roon. The total number of hours that took me and the kids to decorate was well over 6 hours. It takes a long time because mommy likes perfection and I am the same way when I clean my house.

Kids will say the funniest things
Brooklyn was very excited about today. Since her surgery, she has not gone to school and has been home. Today her BFF Campbell has come over to play. I don't know how many times she asked me when she was coming but eventually she made it to our house. They started playing immediately. They had gone up to Brooklyn's room, which wasn't clean. Campbell told Brooklyn "I can have my mom come over and clean your room." I stopped what I was doing and laughed hysterically. I had not heard that one before. I decided to call Campbell's mom to let her know and she got a good laugh as well. We go to the doctor this afternoon to have her bellybutton checked. I have been doing dressing changes on her bellybutton so I just hope everything is okay when we see him.
Madison is walking all over the place now. She still falls a little bit but boy she can walk fast. She has become a very needy child though and mommy is not happy with that. If you don't give her attention of some kind then she gets mad and throws a fit. She is very proud of herself and her accomplishment.
Logan is doing great. Talking up a storm. Everyday he surprises mommy with new words. He is very happy now that he can communicate with him and understand what he wants when he asks.
I 'm still working on our Christmas decorations. I have most up and the trees, but they aren't decorated just yet. Brooklyn is so excited about decorating the trees that she also asks me constantly when we are going to decorate. I keep telling her that eventually we will put them up, just be patient.

Brooklyn had surgery again
For the 5th time, Brooklyn had to have surgery again on her belly button. A simple hernia repair back in July has turn into a nightmare for us. She had another suture abscess but this time in a totally different place, on top of her bellybutton. I just feel so bad that she has had to go through this at such a young age. She really is a trooper. All the staff at Medical City Dallas, just felt bad and told me when they saw her name that not again. So far she is doing okay, I can't get her to really sit down and rest because she is a typical 4 year old. She is just mad at me because she is missing school and won't go back to school till after Thanksgiving. We see the doctor on Friday for her dressing change so I will keep everyone up to date on her progress.
Logan is really talking up a storm and has developed his personality. Today was really the first day where he talked back to mommy and I was taken back a little. I'm sure this won't be the last either.
Madison just keeps walking and walking. Every day she keeps improving on her balance and walks a little further. It will only be a matter of time before she is up and running and then mommy will really be crazy. Other than the surgery nothing else to report.

I've been busy
I am sorry that I haven't written in the blog for quite some time. I've been very busy with the kiddos and taking care of daddy. Daddy is doing quite well for having major surgery. He had his first physical therapy appointment and did great. He also got released to go back and drive. Thank gosh because that literally killed mommy and the kids. The kids are doing great. Madison is almost walking full time. She is really able to work short distances now and its any day now that she is walking permanently. Logan is doing great. Being a great big sister and talking more and more. Brooklyn is doing good also. She finished phonics last week so she now knows all of her lower case letters. Mommy and daddy are real proud of her. She will start a new phonics class in the winter after the Christmas Break. She is now 3 weeks post op from her surgery. This is the time where we start to problems with infections, etc, well he we go again. We see Dr. Kadesky tomorrow to see what to do next. I am not sure mommy can take any more of this stuff. I am just afraid this is going to scar her for life. Its just frustrating to see her go through all of this. I will keep everyone updated on her progress. I have added a cute picture of Madison and Brooklyn.

A Relaxing Weekend
This weekend was really relaxing depsite daddy being in bed all weekend. Mommy did get some breaks this weekend. I had a MOMS group workshop that I attended in Grapevine to learn more about the club and how things really work. I am anxious to really get this new chapter going and get some members more involved so we can make this chapter very successful. MeMe took care of the kids while I was gone and I think the kids have enjoyed her being around all weekend. On Sunday, my parents took care of the kiddos while I went grocery shopping. They had fun and really got to see how Madison is trying to walk. She was able to walk more than 3 steps for them. She is so excited with herself when she tries to walk. She claps and giggles and does all sorts of fun stuff. Logan has enjoyed daddy being in bed. He has played games with him and daddy of course has read to him in our bed too. As for daddy, he is doing real well after his surgery. Mommy is pretty impressed on his progress. The big question will be is when he goes back to work because sitting in a chair has somewhat been a challenge for him. I will keep everyone up to date.

An exhausting day for mommy
The day started really early for mommy and daddy. First, we were woken up at 3 am with the sounds of an owl "hooing". Yes we are pretty sure it was an owl. Neither one of us could go back to sleep and we had to get up early anyways for Scott's surgery. Meme was over at our house at 445 am this morning to take care of the rest family. I got Scott off to his surgery without any problems. Meme was able to get everyone up and Brooklyn off to preschool as well. I met Scott's surgeon, Dr. Stephanie Stephens, (yes a female Orthopedic Surgeon). She was very nice. Scott's surgery ended up being a little over 2 hours. He had two tears in his hip. It looks like he has tolerated his surgery well and is being a great patient otherwise for doing this for the first time.
I got home just in time to get Brooklyn off to her post op appointment with Dr. Kadesky. She had a great appointment with him and so far everything looks great. Lets just keep our fingers crossed that everything will work this time and no more surgeries for her.
Tonight, Madison was crawling into our bedroom and Daddy told her to get up and walk. Well she got straight up and by gosh she walked at least 10 steps before she fell down. When she fell she clapped and was so happy with herself. Mommy and daddy were so proud of her and I just wish that I had the camera going. I guess I can't get everything on video. Its been a very long day and mommy is very tired. Right now we are all in our bed watching "Tinkerbell" even Lilly is in bed with Scott sleeping right next to him. I will keep everyone updated on everyone's progress. Have a great evening.

Madison has more teeth
Madison now has 4 teeth on bottom. She had three on bottom and it looked funny so now with her 4th tooth she looks very cute. She is also getting her molars already. I am not sure when the other two got their molars but I do know they were walking by that time. Madison is still trying to walk. She it up to 3-5 steps before she falls. She keeps trying and she won't give up. Today, Brooklyn has her school pictures. She was so excited to wear a dress. She loves getting her picture taken. Not much else to report on. Daddy has his preop appointment yesterday she he is now official, no turning back now. He says he's not scared but he also doesn't show much emotion either. We will see on Friday whether he is scared or not.

Brooklyn Returns to School
Today was Brooklyn's first day back at school. She was anxious to go back but when I picked her up today she wasn't very tired. Ms Tory told me that she wasn't has enthusiastic today and kind of took it slow. Brooklyn is the kind of kid who doesn't slow down but when she doesn't feel good you will notice a difference in her attitude and playfulness. She was also introduced the letter "Z" today and took home another book. We read the book tonight and she did very well. She is really catching onto reading. Overall the kids are somewhat sick with either a cold or allergies. We think trick or treating has caused all of this. Everyone is sneezing and coughing so its hard to say who has what but no fever.
Madison is still trying to walk. She is very determined to get this walking thing down. I am pretty confident that she will walk by Thanksgiving. At least that is my goal for her. Daddy and Mommy really try and work with her on taking steps.
As everyone knows I love Christmas so I take the whole month of November to get the house ready for Christmas. So when December comes, all of the decorations are up with our two trees. Brooklyn loves to help decorate and get into the holiday spirit. I will be anxious to see what Madison does this year with the trees and or decorations. I hope nothing. Well we will keep everyone updated. See you all soon.

A Fun Halloween Evening
This kids were so anxious to go out and trick or treat. Everyone got in their costumes and loved them. No one didn't want to take them off once they got on but I will have to say they were the cutest kids on the block. It was always a race between Logan and Brooklyn on who was going to ring the door bell. The kids got way too much candy but it will be fun to go through it all and see what we have and what we can throw at. This was really the first Halloween that Logan had fun with and kind of got the concept on the whole idea. Next year, Madison will be where Logan was this year. I have added some pictures of last night at the Booth's. Even Lilly got dressed up as a pumpkin.

A fun day decorating Halloween Cookies
Hi all, well Halloween is almost here and the kids are getting really excited. Yesterday, Madison had a follow up for her ears and her ears are finally cleared up. We think she has seasonal allergies but then all of our other kids do too. She has finally reached the 20 pound mark. We have been striving to get there for some time now and she has finally made it. Now she can sit forward in the car seat. She will have so much fun.
Brooklyn is doing great. She had a great night and we have her pain under contro. Her BFF Campbell came over yesterday and they decorated some cookies. I think they went over board with the icing and sprinkles but none the less they had a blast. I have included some pictures of them two. Logan got up from his nap at the very end but was able to make himself a cookie.
Everyone is doing great. Can't wait for Saturday. Stay tuned!!!!!

Brooklyn's Surgery was a Success
Today, Brooklyn had her 4th surgery on her belly button. Previous till today, I had not said anything about her surgery. This morning, Brooklyn figured it out and told me that "We aren't seeing Dr. Kadesky at his office, we are going to the hospital." My heart just dropped and I was honest with her and said yes but that we needed to get your belly button better. Once we got there and got checked in, she kind of forgot where she was for awhile. Medical City Dallas has a great play room for all the patients. We colored pictures, she got a halloween sticker book and strawberry shortcake book and we hand painted a pumpkin. By the time we were done with that, they were ready for her down in surgery. They gave her what is called the goofy juice and on we went to preop holding. She did okay until they were ready to take her into surgery. At that time, I told them to just take her and go. The surgery took longer than expected because Dr. Kadesky had to repair her hernia. The only way to get all the old sutures out, which he did was to go through the abdomen. He told me the "knots" that we were looking for were deep and we made the right decision to go back in. There is always a chance of reoccurence but I am praying that this time is the last one. She recovered better after surgery this time around than last time. I had requested additional nausea medicine for her, which made her more sleepy, but she didn't get sick in my car. In fact, I had to stop and get her a hamburger on the way home and sure enough she ate it and didn't get sick. She is a very brave girl to go through what she has been through. Mommy and Daddy are very proud of her. Now its daddy's turn to have surgery.

More Updates with the Booth Family
Now that everyone is in bed I have some more updates for everyone. On Wednesday, Brooklyn is having another surgery on her belly button. Many of you may not know but she went in for a rountin hernia repair back in July and since that surgery she has had some complications with infections and spitting out sutures. She definately has mommy's genes-thats not a good thing. I hope that this will be the last of her surgeries for many years to come. I will keep everyone updated on Wednesday on her progress. Daddy is scheduled to have surgery next Friday. He has been battling hip pain for quite some time now and has finally gotten the nerve to see a surgeon and get diagnosed. He has what is called a laberal tear in the hip. It is a very simple surgery but he will have to take it easy for a couple of weeks. I am not sure how the kids will respond to daddy not being able to play as much. I know with my surgeries they didn't like it. This will be his first major surgery in his 32 years of living. Not bad. Again, I will keep everyone up to date on his progress.
Madison and Logan are doing very well. Madison has a check up with her ears on Thursday. I hope this last round of antibiotics cleared up her infection but we will see. She is still trying to figure out how to walk but has been able to take a couple more steps by herself. She is up to 3 steps and then she falls. She will eventually get the hang of walking. She may not be walking by Halloween but I guarantee that she will be walking by Thanksgiving.
Logan is progressing well. His newest word is yellow. Daddy reads to him everynight and he is enjoying his books. I think he knows more than he lets mommy and daddy know. Thats okay, because he will surprise us out of the blue.

Our Neighborhood Halloween Party
Saturday night was our neighborhood Halloween party. The kids always have a blasts at these things because there are bounce houses and other kids to play with. It was a goreous evening until the sun went down. Then it got cold. We always have a great turn out at these outings and this one was no exception. I have included some pictures from that night's event.
PS- the pictures for some reason did not want to print from Safety town.
A Crazy Weekend
To start off the weekend, I got to volunteer at Brooklyn's school with art. She was so happy for me to be there and I was glad to volunteer. I was afraid of what she might do with me being in the room but she carried on with her routine and left me alone. That day they made apple pies. Before Friday, she had mentioned that they were going to make apple pies and I was wondering how preschoolers were going to make pies but the Ms Tory, her teacher, used biscuit dough and put apples on top and in all honestly they were pretty good. Before they ate their food, they sang a little song and they counted in japanese. I didn't know my daughter knew Japanese but she knows her numbers. I was very impressed. After school, we had our first school social at Chic Fil A. There were many of her classmates that showed up and had a great time. Fortunately, some of the kids got out of hand and as Brooklyn does she tried to play mom. There were two boys rough playing and she was trying to pull them away from each other and split up the fight. I was shocked. I explained that was nice of her to do that but that she needed to get an adult next time.
That evening we went to Safety town in Frisco, Texas. This is a little town next to the fire station that has little houses of different companies inside with all kinds of activities. Everyone got to where their costumes and they all had a blast and got lots of candy. I have included some of their pictures.

A fun Day at the Booth's
The last couple of days have been quiet for a change. The weather has been great and the kids are playing very hard. Brooklyn is doing very well in her phonics class. She is reading her little books that are given to her without hardly any help. I just hope that she continues to love reading. Mommy isn't really into reading so she didn't learn it from me. Also, today the firetruck and the ambulance came to her school. She really liked the fire truck but was scared of the ambulance. She learned a very valuable lesson with these two vehicles..She calls 911 if there is a problem. Daddy and I haven't really sat down and talked to her about 911, so her teachers are ahead of us which is fine with us.
Logan is doing very well. He still continues to talk more and more. You are really able to understand him more. He likes riding in mommy's new car. If I haven't already told you, we got rid of my Volvo, that I had before Brooklyn was born and now I am driving a Honda Odyssey. Its very different and I always told myself that I would never drive a mini van but with three kids you kind of have too. I do love the space. Logan sits in the back row and he loves it.
Madison has now figured out how to climb down stairs. Not a good thing for mommy. She is still practicing her walking. She is standing more on her two feet so any day I expect her to get up and go. She gets frustrated but she also works hard at it. We will keep everyone posted.
I have added some cute pictures of Logan. I don't have very many of him on the blog so I thought it was his turn to be in the spot light. Enjoy!

Madison's New Way of Seeing the World
Madison is so close to walking. Daddy and mommy really worked with her this weekend to get her to walk. I hope that she will be walking by Halloween. Mommy would really like that. Madison also has a new move she wants everyone to check out. I'm not sure why she is doing this but she loves it.
We also have everyone's halloween costume. Brooklyn is going to be a beautiful princess again, Logan is going to be a handsome fireman, and Madison is going to be a cute pink puppy. This year will be so much fun with Logan and Brooklyn. Logan has already been practicing saying his words and collecting candy while we are at Target. He grabs a pumpkin and starts grabbing the bags and putting them in the pumpkin. He is so funny. Madison is still a little too young but she will enjoy it as well. More candy for daddy and mommy. I can't wait to show everyone what they look like in their costumes.
Brooklyn is ready to go to school tomorrow. She really loves school. She doesn't understand what a weekend is because she would prefer to attend school everyday. Ask her 18 years from now if she would like to attend school everyday. We are just glad that she is enjoying learning as much as she is.

Doctors, Doctors, Doctors....
I think this family has visited all the doctors we could. Madison had a follow up with her pediatrician yesterday for her double ear infection, and guess what...It hasn't gone away. We are on another antibiotic for her ears and if this doesn't clear them up then she is headed for tubes in her ears. Why not..All of our other children have gone the tube route.
Brooklyn had a follow up with her general surgeon. Her poor belly button has not gotten any better. We changed up the antibiotic and if she is still having problems next week then she will be having another surgery to get the rest of her remaining sutures out. I think this family is just jinxed with doctors and surgeries.
Mommy had to see the doctor today because yes I need sick days too. I have bronchitis so I am now on antibiotics. The only one left that is actually healthy right now is Logan. He is just going and going. Every day he is surprising me on what he is doing. He really is becoming a big boy and that is hard for mommy because I still like to baby him. If we could just get him off the bottle at nap and night time and if mommy can get on the ball and get him potty trained then we are good to go.
We will keep everyone updated on our illnesses. Have a great one.

Where has time gone
I apologize again that I haven't kept up with the dialy blog. It hasn't been like we have no new news. In fact, we have a lot of news. First and foremost, we have a new car. Yes, Mommy has now gone to a mini van. We have now have a Honda Odyssey. So far its going okay. This may be the first time where I have to read the manual. There are some features on it that I have not yet figured out. I think the kids like it though. Ask me in a month if I still like it.
Brooklyn is doing real well in her phonics class. I took he grocery shopping with me with every Sunday and I can't go to a store without her spelling the store. Also, I will tell her one price and she will say mommy, thats not right. Its not $5.00 its 2. 58. I can't fool her anymore. She was disappointed that she didn't have it on Monday with it being a holiday but she will have the opportunity to make it up on Friday.
Madison is trying so hard to walk. I really think it will be very soon where she is walking all over the house. Maybe she will be walking by Halloween. We will keep you updated.

Reading Phonics and Much More
I apologize that I haven't written on the blog lately, but this week has been crazy since Brooklyn has started her reading phonics. The reading phonics is a 6 week long course and basically it will get her ready to read, if she isn't reading already by the time she starts Kindergarten next year. There are about 6 courses, not including spanish. We started her in the first session that helps her recognize lower case letters in the alphabet. The course is an hour long and there is a lot of one on one with the student and spaces are limited. She had her second session today and loves it. We have little books that she takes home from her class that helps her recognize letters and words. She is doing really well and her teacher has even commented on how she picks things up pretty quickly. Today was really busy because she also has dance class after her preschool then we do something with her BFF Campbell and her mom. Today we went to the mall. We have our normal routine which is eat, then play in the play area, and finally a trip to the candy store. She loves it. After that, Brooklyn goes back to school for her reading phonics, so Wednesdays are pretty hectic around her.
So far, this week has been somewhat quiet. Madison is progressing well in her walking with the push toy. We did have a play date on Tuesday at Chic Fil A and her friend Briton was there. They have a lot of fun together and play really well. She is just happy playing with kids her age. Logan is just Logan. Each day he is saying more words. Every morning, he asks "where is Daddy" and every morning I tell him he has gone to work. His response is okay. He is so funny with some of his responses.

A fun weekend
This weekend was a nice laid back weekend. Actually, it was mommy's birthday so the kids made me some special cards. Brooklyn was so excited to give me her home made cards. I don't think the other kids cared as much. Scott and I went out to dinner Saturday night so Grandma and Nei Nei took care of all three of them. I don't know when the last time Scott and I had a night to ourselves. Overall it turned out to be a nice quiet birthday.
Madison is progressing in trying to walk. On Saturday, she somewhat figured out to walk with the push toy. She was so happy and just loved it. I bet by the end of the month she will be walking. I can't wait. I have included a picture of her with her push toy.
Brooklyn and Logan enjoyed playing with each other. Although, Brooklyn was trying to dress Logan in her clothes. I feel sorry for Logan that there is not enough testoterine in this family. He is surrounded by all girls. It was a wet weekend so they had to play indoors most of the time.
Logan is really talking more and more and its great to understand him now. We were driving to pick grandma up and we saw multiple Targets and everytime we saw a target he would say "not another target again?" All I could do is laugh but enjoy the fact that he is talking.

TGIF
This week has been somewhat busy. I had to take Logan and Madison to the doctor yesterday for yucky nose and cough. Logan is just dealing with seasonal allergies and Madison has her first double ear infection. Not good! At least it wasn't anything serious or contagious even. Everyone is on medicine so hopefully Madison can get rid of her ear infection.
Yesterday, we got hit with some storms and Logan says "Mommy, its raining" I have never heard him say that until yesterday. He is starting to talk more and say new words. I am so excited for him because I know it gets frustrated when he is talking and Mommy or Daddy can't understand him. He really is starting to show his personality and its fun to be around him. You never know what he might say next. Stay tune!!!!!

Brooklyn gets a great 6 wks report card
Brooklyn's teacher Ms. Tory called me this morning to discuss Brooklyn's progress in preschool. Before she started preschool I didn't know what to expect from her or how well she will do. The teacher agrees that having her in preschool 5 days a week has helped tremendously. I was told she is very eager to learn and will always ask if she is doing something correctly. Thats my girl. She has done very well in writing her name. The first day she didn't know how to write her name and 6 weeks later, with little help, she can write her name. She has almost recognized all of her letters and numbers that they have focused on. This week they are focusing on the letter "f". They are discussing feelings and how feelings can show emotions, etc. Ms. Tory told me that she gets along with all her classmates and they are learning if there are any accidents to try and problem solve the situation. If she continues the path she is taking now she will be well prepared to go to kindergarten next year. My first born going to kindergarten next year, how time flies when you are having fun.
Also, today she came home and told me that she needed some stickers. I asked her why and she told me she needed to mail some letters to her classmates. I explained to her that those stickers are stamps and they cost money. Her response to me was, well mommy you just go to target and buy me some stamps. All I could do is laugh at her.

Like Father like son or like mother like son
Logan is really trying hard to talk more and understand what all these words mean. Since he is the only boy, he is surrounded by girls all day long. He really doesn't have anyone to play trucks with or catch with until daddy gets home. I don't think Logan minds all that because he is constantly wathing me do everything. He will go in my closet and get one of my pairs of shoes and where those or he likes carrying around grandma's purse now. He even likes playing with Brooklyn's dolls. This morning he decided his baby doll needed a diaper change so he took her to the changing table and began changing her diaper. It was adorable.
He really is trying to talk more too. His new word of the day is school bus. When we take Brooklyn to preschool there are a lot of school busses out there and sure enough he recognizes the busses. He is always asking "whats that" and once I respond back to him he says "OH" He is really growing up.
Today Brooklyn had a rough day at school. One of her classmates accidently hit her. She wasn't very happy but her teacher Ms Tory told her it was an accident and that the child didn't mean to hit her. Once we got in the car she told me she didn't want to go back to preschool. I told things like that will happen and 99% of the time they didn't mean to hit one another. I told her that if she gets hit, not to hit that person back. She told she didn't hit him back but was upset about the whole situation. As you can see, the drama has already begun and she is only in preschool.
Poor Logan
I feel so sorry for Logan. His older sister Brooklyn is really rubbing off on Logan. She now dresses him in her dresses and or her pajamas. Logan can't really defend himself right now but I promise that when he can, he will get back at Brooklyn. I have to admit they love playing with each other and watching them two play is priceless. All I can do as a mom is sit back and watch. They really know how to get a laugh out of mommy and daddy.

Celebrating Grandma's birthday
This evening we had Grandma, Grandpa and Nei Nei over to celebrate Grandma's 63rd birthday. (I hope she doesn't mind me putting that in the blog) Brooklyn was so excited for them to come over for dinner. All day she kept asking me when they were coming. Of course she still doesn't understand the concept of time but that will come in time. When everyone comes over they play nonstop and give mommy and daddy a break from them. Grandma and Grandpa played doctor with Brooklyn. She loves to play doctor anytime, doesn't matter who it is. Of course when it's time to go she isn't too happy but she knows that she can see them anytime she wants. When Grandma was opening up her cards, Brooklyn and Logan were helping. Sometimes Brooklyn gets a little too anxious and forgets it's their day and not hers. She is still learning. Everyone had a great time.

Kids will be kids
This past Wednesday, Brooklyn always goes to dance after preschool and then we will play with Campbell, her BFF. I sware, these two could play for hours if you would let them. This time Campbell came over to our house and Logan loves it as well. He knows he doesn't have to take his nap as early on this day plus he has more playmates to play with. Both Campbell and Brooklyn, manage to conn Logan into play doctor or house and Logan gets to be the "baby". He loves it =) So you can say they are like the three muskateers. Later that evening, as divas as they are, I come to find out that they decided to paint nails in Brooklyn's closet. Little did I know until Campbell's mom called me and informed me of this incident. Normally they are pretty good about staying out of trouble but they are 3 and 4 so they are going to get into some mischief.

Logan said a new word
We had to pick up grandma at the train station this evening and as we were driving home. Logan looked outside his window and loud and clear said "Target". Thats my boy, he knows where mommy likes to go shopping. It was funny to hear it because it felt like out of the blue he just says Target. I am pretty sure Logan is really smart but sometimes takes a step back because he doesn't want many people knowing what he already knows. I also have a witness to this event and it was as Logan would say;"Gwandma". Gwandma got a good laugh out it as well.
An exciting day for Madison
Yesterday, Madison finally figured out how to crawl up the stairs. This is not good for mommy or daddy. She has been trying for weeks to figure this out and all of a sudden yesterday I noticed her going upstairs. She had a blast. This just means that now I really have to keep a close eye on her because she hasn't figured out how to come down the stairs. Needless to say, she was very happy that she has accomplished this task.

The Toothfairy
Today, Brooklyn was so excited about learning the letter "T". She drew many T's and they looked great but she told me the best thing was the "toothfairy". We really haven't told her about the tooth fairy. She asked me when she was going to loose her teeth so the toothfairy could come visit her. Although, she told me that she wouldn't come unless she was sleeping. I asked her what the toothfairy brought and she started to tell me things like stuff animals, candy, books, etc but the most important gift was of course "money". I asked her how much and she told me $100.00 per tooth. I told her what kind of toothfairy gives a child $100.00 per tooth and she said " A very good girl" Mommy just sat back and laughed. She cannot wait now to loose her teeth.
A relaxed weekend
This past weekend was very relaxing. On Friday, I had my MOMS group at my house and Madison had a ball with her new friends. She met Brighton, 10 months and Katelyn who was 6 months. This was her first time to really play with kids her own size. She didn't know what to do. By the end of the play group, she was exhausted to say the least. On Saturday, Brooklyn can't get use to the idea that on the weekends she doesn't get to go to preschool. I have told her you need to enjoy your weekends and have fun. Eventhough I tell her that, everyday she still asks me if I am going to school or not. Scott and I had a parent orientation at her school. It was very informative and gave us some insight on what they will be learning and also getting them ready for kindergarten. Brooklyn keeps asking me when she can go on a school bus and I have told her that next school year you will be able to ride the bus. She is very independent and I think ready to enjoy school. Her school gives her these little books with a certain letter and this last week they were working on the letter "M" These books will help her read and by gosh by the end of the book, which is only 5 pages, she was able to read it without very little help. She was so excited and so was Mommy and Daddy. Other than that, nothing really exciting happened in our household. Brooklyn, Logan and Madison just had fun playing with each other. The highlight was when Logan came downstairs in Brooklyn's pajamas with a pink tutu on. I thought it was hysterical. I didn't get the picture in time but did get a picture with her pajamas on.

A fun evening
Today was a great day. Brooklyn has a new word and its "Marvelous". She may not know how to spell but she definately, knows what it means. She also made blue berry muffins in class today. As soon as she got in the car, she told me she didn't make one for me but I was fine with that. Logan had a busy day playing with Madison. She is starting to say "MAMA and DADA" more and to our faces. She is really starting to be voiceful! Brooklyn and Logan really play hard in the evening and I have included a cute picture of them two. They really give mommy and daddy a break in the evening by playing with each other unless they are fighting.
Another week
Sorry that I haven't updated our blog but we have been very busy. Logan got a great update from the ENT specialists. It looks like we have gotten the yeast under control after 6 months of trying to beat this. Brooklyn saw her surgeon yesterday regarding her belly button. Bad new here, she has another underlying infection and trying to spit out more sutures. We are trying to prevent another surgery if we can't get out all the old sutures. We are going to give it till November to see if we can get them out and if not then she will have to go back in for another surgery. Lets keep our fingers crossed that she doesn't have to another surgery. Everyone else is doing great. Madison is trying very hard to walk. She has now figured out how to move the highchair and climb the stairs. It won't be long now before she walk on her own. I am now volunteering how the room mom for Brooklyn's school. She is very excited and I am also excited to get more involved in her school. She was also excited that she got to take home the class lizard. She read a book about the lizzard and we got to write in a journal for the whole class to share. She wasn't very happy about returning it to school but I told her that her other classmates also get a turn to take it home and write about it. She started to write her letters and they are working on the M's. She is so excited on learning to write. I can't wait for her to write her name. Well I think that is it for now. I have included a picture of Brooklyn and her bff Campbell. She always looks forward to Wednesday as that is her dance day but also her day to have fun with Campbell.

This weekend has been a gloomy and rainy weekend. We needed the rain so I am not complaining. Today was a great day because for so long I have been wanting to get pictures of all the kids together and alone. We tried back at Easter time but Logan didn't want anything to do with picture taking. I normally have pictures done for the kids birthdays but we have been busy doing other things and its always been put on the back burner. Finally, I got my wish and we were very successful with picture taking. Logan surprised me and had a great time and yes we even got him to smile. Madison was the one who had trouble. I thought she would have enjoyed getting her picture made but not today. In the end, I was happy with the results.

A new addition to the family
As everyone knows our first pet, Guy, passed away on July 11, 2009 in his bed peacefully. He was a really great dog but had his health issues. We had rescued him from the Richardson Humane Society. He was abadoned and an older dog so it took awile for him to get adopted and sure enough we took him home and gave him a great life. Soon after that day we started looking for another dog. We really didn't know what we wanted but we knew that we wanted to rescue another dog. We finally decided on another Boston Terrier. We had to go through a long process before we could be approved but we had no problems. We adopted a dog named Lilly. She was only in the Boston Rescue home 1 day. Her previous owner had to go into a nursing home so she couldn't take care of her. We heard of Lilly, she made a stop at our home to visit us and our kids to see if she would be a great fit to our family. It didn't take long before I knew she was the one. She is an overweight Boston Terrier of 28 pounds so she is on the pudgy side. We have her on a diet to loose about 8 pounds or so. She has adapted to our crazy house well and loves the kids. She loves to play and be scratched on her belly. She also likes to give lots of kisses.
Madison's 1 year well check up
Today was Madison's first year well check up. As everyone knows she was quite the tiny one when she was born. She only weighed 5 pounds and 17 inches long. As of today, she now weighs in at 18 pounds 11 ounces and 29 1/4 inches long. She is still a little peanut but a very healthy little girl. She recieved 4 shots today and remarkably she does well with them, better than our other two children. Hopefully we can get through the winter months without getting sick. Madison is really trying hard to keep up with her sister and brother. She can walk if she holds onto the couch but still isn't interested in walking by herself. I don't think mommy can handle all three kids walking and running at the same time. Our house hold is aleady chaos adding another walker would just add to the mess. We will keep everyone updated with her progression.

A typical Monday but on a Tuesday
Today started off great. Brooklyn was ready to go to preschool as always and had a great time. She is learning new songs and teaching mommy and daddy constantly everynight. They are also working on her hand writing and teaching her how to write her name. She is soooo excited about that. Fortunately, my son Logan has been battling ear infections for months now. He actually had surgery a week ago to reinsert the ear tubes and his adenoids out. The surgery didn't correct the yeast that has been growing in his ears. Our physician gave us three specialists to call and none of them could get Logan in immediately except Dr. Stephen Landers, who saw him today. He informed me that he needed his ear flushed out on a weekly basis until the yeast was gone. I told him didn't they do that in surgery and he told me not exactly. They have to have some kind of special medicine to flush the yeast out. Logan was a good patient but visualize a 2 year old trying to stay still while they flush the ear out. Dr Landers told me repeatedly that this didn't hurt him so I trust him on that. We will have to have weekly visits until all the yeast is out. Poor boy. I will keep everyone updated on his status.

Brooklyn's First Day of School
Brooklyn started Preschool last Monday. She is attending Apple Creek in Frisco. She attends 5 days a week for about 2 1/2 hours a day. She did well her first week. She has 17 classmates with 2 teachers. She is always asking if she can go back, I just tell her you will be going to school for the next 20 + years. She is having fun and I can't wait to see her progress. She picks out her clothes each day and believe me she knows how to match up clothes and she is only 4.
